🚨 Microsoft is flipping the script — and it’s about time. 🚨 Starting August 2025, Windows 365 Cloud PCs will ship with clipboard, drive, USB, and printer redirections disabled by default. This is a big shift from Microsoft’s traditional posture of enabling flexibility first, and it signals a deeper commitment to Secure by Default principles under the Secure Future Initiative (SFI). 👀 Why this matters: Historically, redirections have been enabled out of the box for Cloud PCs to support seamless user experiences — copy/paste, local drive access, even printing. But these pathways have also been ripe for data exfiltration. Now, Microsoft is saying no more. Cloud PCs will now start with tighter controls — security first, convenience second. If your users need these features, you’ll have to explicitly allow them via Intune policies or Group Policy. 🧩 IT Admins – Here’s what to know: • This only affects newly provisioned or reprovisioned Cloud PCs. • You’ll see banners in Intune alerting you ahead of rollout. • Redirection enablement is now a manual step, not the default. 💡 Take action now: • Audit your existing provisioning policies. • Plan group-based configurations for users who actually need redirection. • Communicate changes to end users before they start asking why printing “stopped working.” 📉 This is a rare moment when Microsoft is choosing more support tickets in favor of stronger security. And honestly? It’s the right call. But here’s the real question: How will you stay ahead of all the policy shifts like this one across Microsoft 365? ➡️ DeltaPulse https://DeltaPulse.app tracks updates like this in real time, with summaries delivered to your inbox every Sunday.
