Summit Technology is looking for an experienced technical leader in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. If we were to make a wish list, it would include deep technical skills with Microsoft 365, a desire to educate those around them, and experience directing a team of other technical counterparts towards business outcomes.   Summit Technology is a MSP based in Salt Lake City Utah focused on delivering IT to small and medium businesses. Unlike many of our competitors we are laser-focused on cloud platform solutions, not furthering legacy / on-prem IT solutions. The customers we manage share our cloud-first vision and recognize the value of technology in their businesses.   We are all in on Microsoft 365, sometimes close to bleeding edge adoption of Microsoft technologies. In your day-to-day you would be working with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, Teams Voice, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Intune…a lot of Intune. We value curiosity and are continuously experimenting with new technologies.   While our HQ is in Salt Lake City Utah we are open to remote candidates. If remote, it would require travel monthly to the corporate office where you would stay in our company condo in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City with only a 3 minute walk to the office. The night picture in this post is taken from the hot tub on the roof of the building our condo is in! Remote candidates should provide details on their history & success working remotely. If you'd be willing to relocate we are open to a relocation package.   Now you're probably wondering, what does this role pay? Well we are fans of some of the philosophies Reed Hastings had at Netflix, one of them being: “We’d be relying on one tremendous person to do the work of many,” is how CEO Reed Hastings once described his compensation philosophy. “But we’d pay them tremendously.” At Summit Technology believe in paying top of market for the right person on our team.   For consideration of this position please email your resume to dan@greatservice.com

Microsoft 365 just dropped another 200+ changes last week. If you’re not tracking them, you’re reacting to them. Here’s what dropped between August 10–16: • 60 new Message Center posts • 48 updated posts • 23 new roadmap items • 84 updated roadmap items Here are 6 featured updates that IT admins and MSPs should not miss: • Microsoft Teams: Malicious URL Protection in Chat and Channels (MC1123983) Teams will now block or warn about malicious links in Teams chat and channel messages. A foundational security upgrade — especially for frontline-heavy orgs. • Microsoft Copilot Studio: Larger File Uploads for Agent Training (MC1124025) File size support increases to 512MB for uploads. A big win for anyone training Copilot agents with contracts, specs, or compliance docs. • Microsoft Teams Rooms (Android): Cloud IntelliFrame is Here (MC1123986) AI-powered participant framing comes to Android-based Teams Rooms. It’s set as the default for smarter, cleaner hybrid meetings. • Microsoft Copilot: Analyze Email Attachments via Chat (MC1123984) Copilot Chat now understands Word, Excel, and other attachments alongside the email body. More context, fewer follow-ups. • Microsoft Intune: Unattended Remote Help – Remote Sign-In (MC1124018) Admins can now initiate unattended remote access to devices — no end-user action needed. Ideal for critical escalations or overnight remediation. • Microsoft Copilot: View and Reference Email Attachments in Chat (MC1123983) You’ll be able to query and reference previously sent or received attachments right from Copilot Chat. Huge productivity boost for daily workflows.
